2009 Isis Challenge Event

Castle Seige Winning Team

Under Siege in Carterton - both parents and pupils test their engineering skills

The Isis Challenge took place again at Carterton Community College. This year the challenge was called "Castle Siege" and those entering had to build a device to fire projectiles (tennis balls) at the castles defences.  The winning team was judged to have the most tennis balls inserted into the wall.  This year's winning team despite their name  "Brute Force and Ignorance" , required all their planning, design and engineering skills to defeat the castles defences.

Many thanks to Carterton School for the venue and facilities and to our third year Isis apprentice Layla Harwood for her hard work as referee on the day.

The winning team are pictured with the Deputy Lord Mayor of Carterton on the left and Chris Clarke Managing Director of Isis Training Services Ltd on the right.
