Schools 14 -19 Diplomas
The 14-19 Engineering diplomas will be launched in September 2008. Isis is currently working with its 14 -19 partners to prepare both schools and employers for its successful delivery.
14 -19 Diplomas will be available at three levels:
The Foundation Diploma - an introductory GCSE level qualification, for those who want to learn about engineering.
The Higher Diploma – this is a GCSE level qualification for those wishing to learn more about engineering and apprenticeships as a career option.
The Advanced Diploma – designed for sixth formersand college students who would like an industry related alternative to “A” levels, which can help them secure employment or a place at university.
An important part of all three will be the industrial placements to provide the students with a valuable insight to the workings of engineering and manufacturing industries.
Isis will be presenting a number of Employer 14–19 Seminars to keep employers up to date with progress and how it could impact on them. Watch out for these dates in the news section.
